WHAT'S ON IN APRIL

April marks a shift in the region from our beautiful long extended summer to slightly cooler weather, dewy mornings, falling leaves, and roaring fires. This transition is marked by the Wadandi (Saltwater) people as the change from Bunuru season to Djeran season, also called the Season of Adulthood.

This month cover all bases with an exciting array of community, athletic, wine, film and art events to enjoy. Arguably one of the biggest events in the Margaret River Region calendar, the Margaret River Pro, is finally on the horizon, and plenty of other adventurous ocean spray events are too with XTERRA Dunsborough, Gracetown Bay Swim, and Busselton Festival of Triathlon.

WHAT'S ON IN APRIL

In the vineyards and wineries, the focus is now shifting from white wine production to red wine production. Grab a glass (or bottle) of your favourite grape at one of the intimate events at Lenton Brae, Passel Estate, and Evans & Tate, or expand your palette with new varieties paired with local produce, sweet tunes, and generous views.

Continue to celebrate the exquisite talent of the region and beyond, this time by turning to the art scene. Choose between exhibitions openings, photography pop-up galleries, film festivals, theatre, and book launches this month. Then make sure to grab a chocolate egg for each leg before browsing the wide collection of local artisan goods at the family friendly Cowaramup Easter Fair.
