Click here New Year & Our Continued Commitment to STEM Equity Dear Friends, As we begin a new year, we renew our commitment to delivering and advocating for equitable STEM education that inspires and prepares students for college and careers. The work ahead is urgent and filled with possibilities. Every initiative we launch, partnership we cultivate, and program we expand is a step toward a future where all students—regardless of background—have access to the opportunities they deserve. To keep you informed and engaged, we’re launching a monthly recap—a space to share our collective progress, celebrate milestones, and highlight the impact we’re making together. By staying connected, we can continue to drive meaningful change and ensure students have the tools, resources, and inspiration they need to thrive in an evolving world. This month, we’re proud to spotlight a long-standing district partnership, an upcoming event that champions equity in STEM, and a well-deserved recognition for our CEO. Thank you for standing with us as we work toward a more just and inclusive education system. For 17 years, SV[e]F has proudly partnered with Berryessa Union School District, ensuring students and educators have access to high-quality STEM learning experiences that prepare them for the future. Since 2008, this collaboration has resulted in: 📊 198 teachers supported through professional learning opportunities The impact of this partnership is best reflected in the voices of students: “My proudest moment is when I always finish class work because now I’ve been finishing work in class. I never liked math, but now I actually like math, and school helps us learn. I am proud of me for finishing class work and liking school and math.” – Elevate [Math] 4th-grade student Berryessa Union has demonstrated a deep commitment to ensuring STEM access for all students. Their expansion of computer science offerings is a testament to this dedication. We are honored to support their vision through [Computer Science] Innovate, which brings block-based coding to 4th and 5th graders—building the foundation for future innovators. On March 27th, the Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SV[e]F) will present Women in STEM Leadership 2025 with the theme STEMinists at Work: Bridging Talent and Opportunity. This inspiring event will unite experts to explore why gender equity is essential in fostering fairness, ethics, and inclusion in the workforce. Despite progress, women—especially women of color—remain underrepresented in STEM. This event will move beyond discussions, offering actionable solutions for breaking down barriers and creating meaningful change. Attendees will gain insights from industry leaders, connect with changemakers, and be part of the conversation shaping the future of STEM. We will welcome a Neuroscientist as our keynote speaker, followed by a panel of STEM leaders who will explore the challenges and opportunities in workforce development. Topics will include breaking barriers to entry, building mentorship and sponsorship networks, creating equitable pathways to leadership, and fostering inclusive work environments. Panelists will also discuss the future of STEM, examining emerging trends and innovations that will shape the next generation of talent. Tickets are on sale now! Purchase your’s today!
