Intercultural WorkshopWould you and your congregation like to discover ways to extend hospitality to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities or individuals near you? The Presbytery of WA's Rural Network invites you to an Intercultural Workshop on Friday 19 June at St Stephen’s Applecross Uniting Church. The workshop, led by Rev Judy Sanderson and members of the Intercultural Network, will run from 2.00pm to 5.30pm. This interactive workshop will include stories, Q&A, music, food, and activities. Everyone is welcome to attend. Gifts of Welcome and Care for Wyn Carr HouseWyn Carr House is a purpose-built transitional housing facility for older women, a group identified as one of the fastest-growing cohorts experiencing homelessness in Australia. When members of the Wagin Uniting Patchwork group heard about the redevelopment of Uniting WA's Wyn Carr House in Fremantle as transitional accommodation for women over 55 experiencing homelessness, they found a practical way to contribute – handmade quilts to help women feel welcomed and cared for as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
