Get to Know Our ProvidersHope Chen, MD | Family Medicine Resident Dr. Hope Chen, originally from San Diego, discovered Lawndale through friends from her church and was drawn to the clinic’s mission of integrating faith with medicine. She pursued her medical education in various locations, including Boston at MIT and Chicago Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, and also spent time in Taiwan as a Fulbright Scholar. Now a first-year resident at LCHC, Dr. Chen enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients by focusing on whole-person care, including their spiritual needs. “I aspire to embody warmth, welcoming people in, hearing about who they are and their families – I want to hear about not just a medical problem, but who they are outside of it," she shares. She values the opportunity to provide compassionate care, praying with patients during difficult moments. Dr. Chen believes that LCHC’s commitment to serving the community through love and holistic care aligns with her passion for combining medicine, faith, and connection. Dr. Chen says, "I want every patient to know they’re not alone and that they have someone who genuinely cares" Want to join our team? We're Hiring!
