I was asked to speak on ABC Radio twice in October. First on the 21st October with David Astle on his show "Victorian Evenings with David Astle". We talked about lab-grown Diamonds, trends in jewellery and the variety of different coloured Sapphires available.
And then another interesting interview with Francis Leach on ABC Local Radio. Covering such subjects as Sapphires, Opals, bar brooches, and Sapphire and Diamond rings. Listeners sent in a lot of images including a lovely late 19th century bar brooch with heart shape Opal drop. An equally pretty silver and gold bar brooch set with an all diamond set insect. While we also discussed the different sources for Opals including Australia, Ethiopia and Mexico. A full session with a few laughs along the way!
Sapphires come in a range of colours and these beads spaced amongst matt black Onyx beads make for a colourful but not too overstated necklace.
I love the simplicity and wearability of these very cool reverse tapering Akoya pearl drop earrings. There’s also a pendant to match!
Gold & green/yellow Sapphire pendant on chain, $4,400

My catalogue highlights green and parti-coloured Sapphires, and this simple pendant is the perfect way to wear such a gem.
As you are receiving this letter on Melbourne Cup Day I sincerely hope you pick a winner or two! And please remember if you need a copy of my catalogue sent to you or a friend just drop me a line. Finally another quote I came across to end on:
"Jewellery: because roses die and chocolate goes straight to the hips!"
Warmly,
