Ellie Vraa, PA

Ellie Vraa, PA, is a compassionate Physician Assistant who joined Lawndale Christian Health Center (LCHC) in April, 2023. Her journey to LCHC began while attending PA school at Rush University, where she trained and had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Rosario Cosme-Cruz, a children's psychiatrist at LCHC. Inspired by LCHC's mission and unique approach to healthcare, Ellie joined the organization without hesitation. She values the supportive and like-minded team she works with and finds joy in serving the community. Ellie is motivated to address mental health needs and help patients achieve overall well-being. She states, "I want to ensure that patients feel empowered, know that their story is heard, and feel they have ownership over their care". She supports her patients by highlighting their strengths and sources of resilience, empowering them to make decisions about their own health.

She says, "I'm happy to be able to address every part of my patients' care and take all the steps that are needed to make sure that care can be implemented from a physical, emotional, social, and spiritual standpoint."

The VeggieRx program is designed to enhance patients' physical health by providing a complimentary box of locally sourced produce and coupons for Windy City Harvest Markets. Back to School Bash | August 2nd

Get ready for the 5th annual Back to School Bash, hosted by LCHC and Harmony Community Church! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 2nd, from 4-6pm at the Harmony Church parking lot (1908 S Millard Ave). This fun-filled event features free school supplies for K-12 students (while supplies last), inflatables, music, community resources, raffle prizes, delicious food, and so much more! Kick-start the school year with a memorable experience for the whole family.

Kids must be present to receive a school supply packet.
