(1999-2024)

Global Finance has turned 25 years old on 5th March 2024, and we are very grateful to our valued clients, partners, well-wishers, and the dedicated team at Global Finance.

We are thrilled to celebrate this significant milestone, and it is with heartfelt gratitude that we acknowledge your indispensable role in our journey. Your trust, unwavering support, and constructive feedback have been pivotal in transforming Global Finance from a humble garage operation into a thriving enterprise with five offices and a dedicated team of 50 professionals. We have successfully facilitated over $14 billion in mortgages and personal risk covers, benefiting more than 8,000 families.

We extend our deepest appreciation for the privilege of serving you and eagerly anticipate the continuation of this remarkable journey together.

Interest Rates Update: As of 28th February 2024, the OCR (Official Cash Rate) remains unchanged at 5.50%. This news provides relief to those who were concerned about a potential increase while, understandably, disappointing those who had hoped for a decrease. Notably, recent comments from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand suggest that there will be no OCR changes in the coming months. Despite this, the possibility of a reduction in wholesale rates looms, putting downward pressure on fixed-term rates for loans and deposits spanning two to five years.

Bank’s Lending Criteria: We want to reassure you that there have been no significant policy changes. Banks’ doors are open to borrowers who meet their lending criteria, with a special emphasis on welcoming First Home buyers. These individuals can secure loans with as little as a 5% deposit under Kainga Ora scheme, provided their combined income does not exceed $150,000 per year. Single borrowers with an income no greater than $95,000 in the last 12 months and consistent employment for 12 months or more are also eligible. In one instance, one of the major bank is also directly giving 95% lending to first home buyers.

Property Prices Update: The property market remains stable, with no major fluctuations. First-time homebuyers have a unique opportunity to secure some good houses at reasonable prices while qualifying for loans with just  5% deposit.

Thank you once again for your integral role in our success, and we eagerly anticipate continuing to serve you with dedication and excellence.
