Referendum Eve Vigil
The Uniting Church invites you to join in prayer with UCA community from across the country on the eve of the Referendum on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, Friday 13 October, 11.00am to 5.00pm (AWST).
Congregations across the country will open their sanctuaries for the local community to gather and pray. Each location will also be connected to a single zoom webinar, taking turns to lead prayer and worship.
Star Street Uniting Church is hosting a prayer session as part of the vigil from 2.00pm to 2.30pm. The Star Street Uniting Church doors will be open for the duration of the Prayer Vigil.
Uniting Generations Network Meeting
The next gathering of the Uniting Generations Network is on Monday 16 October from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at Mount Pleasant Uniting Church.
We will be looking at the new Assembly Intergenerational materials and at how to deal with challenging behaviours when working with children.
Uniting for the Voice - Revive Article
This article on our website, adapted from one first published in Revive, gives an overview of the Uniting Church's support for a First Nations Voice to Parliament, a decision informed by the Uniting Church’s commitment to the Covenant between the Uniting Church in Australia and the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC).
Hear from some UAICC WA Regional Committee leaders who were asked about their thoughts on the Voice, and why it is important to them for the Uniting Church to support a constitutionally enshrined First Nations Voice to Parliament.

This comprehensive, one-day workshop will delve into the full Code of Ethics and Ministry Practice. It’s designed for those at the beginning of their ministry journey, with the expectation that all active ministry members will participate at least once.
