NIH AWARDS $4 MILLION GRANT TO IMPROVE HEALTH IN DIVERSE COMMUNITIES Congratulations to NHWSN Dean, Linda McCauley, as the awardee of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) for the Center for Children’s Health Assessment, Research Translation, and Combating Environmental Racism (CHARTER). This grant provides
funding for five years of $4 million to support research related to addressing health disparities through transformative communication strategies.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL WORKFORCE RESILIENCE ECHO Resilience Rounds: Beginning March 28, 2022 Resilience Workgroups: Beginning April 28, 2022 Behavioral Health Professional Workforce Resilience is a new HRSA program that includes the Community Resiliency Model (CRM) for persons in health and social services across the nation and beyond. This no cost program will train and support, behavioral health professionals to increase their resilience, self-care, and wellness.

2022 EMORY GLOBAL HEALTH INSTITUTE RAPID RESPONSE GRANT AWARDEE The Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI) has awarded its Rapid Response Grant for Plastic Waste is everywhere - Creating a web-based curriculum for English- and Spanish-speaking low-resource communities to tackle plastic waste dumping and burning in the global South to Lisa M. Thompson, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, MS, FAAN, an associate professor with Emory
University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. The EGHI grant provides funding for one year of $10,000 to develop curriculum and a website for Dr. Thompson’s recently awarded R01 research project.
