Advancing Renewables Program Funding

Amount: $100,000 - $5 million

Purpose: To support a range of development, demonstration and pre-commercial deployment projects. This includes opportunities to optimise the transition to renewable electricity, commercialise clean hydrogen and support the transition to low emissions metals.

Arts and Disability Initiative 2022-24

Amount: $30,000
Closing Date: 2 August 2022
Purpose: The Australia Council for the Arts is offering six grants of $30,000. If you are an artist or arts worker with disability, these grants can provide support for significant projects to extend your arts practice, networks, skills, and ambition.

Purpose: To to fund the costs of construction, alteration, renovation, completion and fit-out of buildings and community infrastructure to deliver outcomes for disadvantaged NSW communities

  • Arts & Culture: $50,000 - $200,000 
  • Community Infrastructure: $10,000 - $200,000 
  • Disaster Readiness: $10,000 - $200,000

Empowering Homes Solar Battery Loan

Amount: $9,000 - $14,000
Closing Date: Undisclosed
Purpose: To help homeowners in eligible postcodes access interest-free loans to install solar battery systems. Through this offer, you can get an interest-free loan of up to:

  • $14,000 towards a solar PV and battery system (repayable over a range of terms up to 8 years), or
  • $9,000 towards retrofitting a battery system to an existing solar PV system (repayable over a range of terms up to 10 years).

Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund R2

Amount: $1 Million - $5 Million per project
Closing Date: 2 September 2022
Purpose: The NSW Government has committed $200 million to the Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund, recognising the critical role local sport infrastructure plays in keeping communities healthy, active and connected. All applications are expected to provide a minimum 50% financial co-contribution of the grant amount requested.

Natural Disaster Relief Scheme Program

Amount: $2,000
Closing Date:  Ongoing until otherwise notified
Purpose: To provide assistance to eligible applicants who are in a declared natural disaster area and have been directly affected by flood/fire/storm or any other declared natural disaster.

Grants available are up to:

  • $25,000 for non-profit organisations
  • $10,000 for sporting and recreation clubs
  • $130,000 for primary producers and small businesses.

NSW Seniors Energy Rebate

Amount: $200
Closing Date: 30 November 2022
Purpose: The NSW Seniors Energy Rebate is available for eligible independent self-funded retirees to help cover the cost of their electricity. Gas accounts are not included.

NSW Seniors Festival Grant Program

Amount: $1,000 - $10,000
Closing Date: 1 August 2022
Purpose: Funding for community organisations and councils to run local events and activities during the 2023.

  • Category 1 - $1,000 for small scale programs 
  • Category 2 - $1001 - $5,000 for large programs 
  • Category 3 - $5,001 - $10,000 for larger programs

NSW Youth Grants

Amount: $10,000 - $50,000

Purpose: Seeking applications which address young people’s identified needs in an innovative way and increase young people’s connections to the community.

Regional Seniors Travel Card

Amount: $250
Closing Date: 30 November 2022
Purpose: To help ease the cost of travel, which can be used to pay for fuel, taxis and pre-booked regional trains and coaches. The card is available to residents of the Lake Macquarie area.

Small Business Month

Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: 5 August 2022
Purpose: To help organise events for the sixth NSW Small Business Month in November 2022. The theme of this Small Business Month is `Connect for Success', which reflects the NSW Government’s determination to help small businesses recover from COVID, floods, other economic challenges and look toward a brighter future.

Purpose: To support the community to deliver activities which require a small amount of funding and/or in-kind support.

Lake Art Prize 2022

Amount: $25,000
Closing Date: 22 August 2022
Purpose: The prize is open to artists working across all mediums, including sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, installation and sound, are eligible for the prize. Council will purchase the winner’s work, and if the creation is valued at less than $25,000, council will look to purchase other outstanding entries from the competition

Amplify Pride Fund

Amount: $750
Closing Date: 11 July 2022
Purpose: This is a new LGBTIQ+ fund created by Aurora and GiveOUT with support from the Snow Foundation. It will provide change-making LGBTIQ+ community organisations with larger, more sustainable funding.

Purpose: To implement strategies to create nurturing environments for children. It will focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the first five years of life.

Canon Oceania Grants

Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: 29 July 2022
Purpose: For community groups trying to rebuild themselves, despite a weaker economy. Funding includes:

  • 1 x Community Grant – AU $5,000 - Open to any for-profit entity that employs fewer than 20 people
  • 1 x Flood Recovery Grant – AU $5,000 - Open to any organisation or for-profit entity affected by the 2022 Eastern Australia floods.
  •  1 x Education Grant – AU$5,000 - Open to schools and other educational centres for children and adults alike
  •  1 x Environment Grant – AU$5,000 - Open to not-for-profits and organisations dedicated to raising awareness of the protection of the environment or promoting sustainable practices.

Community - Scholarship Opportunity - Real School Grants

Purpose: The Real School Grants is an annual one-off grant of up to $5,000, awarded to a school, school group, and/or school committee that is committed to improving the quality of school resources and communities with regards to one of the following values:

Purpose: The Coopers Brewery Foundation run two grant initiatives:

General Giving -  $30,000 for projects that fit areas:

Purpose: Each month, based on individual nominations, Sunbites (as a subsidiary of The Smith's Snackfood Company Pty Ltd) will select an amazing member of your community and their charity to receive $25k from a $200k Fund.

Growing Good Garden Grant

Purpose: To support LifeEd by encouraging young people to get gardening, and learn healthy habits - from the ground up!

Groundswell Climate Action Grants

Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: 5 August 2022
Purpose: To fund effective climate advocacy in Australia to change systems, not just symptoms.

We fund advocacy that:

  • Builds the movement – activates new and strategic demographics or sectors to get involved in tackling the climate crisis; 

  • Changes the story – builds urgency for stronger action from trusted voices in our community; 

  • Shifts the money – dries up the pipeline of funding to fossil fuel companies;

  • Changes the politics – enables greater leadership within state and federal Governments.

Hamer Sprout Fund

Purpose: Each year, the Hamer Sprout Fund will consider applications from organisations that share the fund’s goals. We are particularly interested in giving to smaller organisations and projects to get them off the ground. Eligible organisations include:

  • Organisation and/or community group

  • Not-for-profit.
