NOTABLE NEWS

Second Nature & UNHSI Enhanced Partnership Announcement

Last week we announced that we are expanding on our partnership with the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute (UNHSI) to be able to offer higher education institutions a more integrated platform (SIMAP®) for tracking and reporting carbon emissions.  The end goal is that by providing this more robust tool to colleges and universities, it will allow them to

accelerate their progress towards reaching their campus climate goes.  And, through this partnership, Climate Leadership Network signatories will all have free access to SIMAP.

The platform is due to launch in January 2022, after beta testing takes place in December 2021.  Climate Leadership Network signatories - Interested in being a beta tester? You can sign-up below!

COP26 Wrap Up

There was so much anticipation on the global level leading up to COP26.  The urgent need for real climate solutions now, making this the most vital COP of our lifetime.  The U.S. having a major presence (or not) since we're back in the Paris Agreement.  People gathering from around the world during a global pandemic.

Now that COP26 is over, what was accomplished during the two weeks?  Where do we go from here?  Our three Second Nature team members who had the opportunity to attend COP26, reflected on their own experiences throughout.  In answer to what was accomplished and where do we go from here will be discussed at our fourth and final Climate Action Pursuit milestone in December.

If you are already registered for the Pursuit, great!  Be sure to look for the COP26 session on your Sched calendar.  If you are not registered, but are interested in joining us, you can register here.

Additionally, you can read the experiences of our on the ground team on our Anecdotes page.
