In this recently released episode of To The Best of Our Knowledge, Senior Producer Shannon Henry Kleiber takes listeners on a walking pilgrimage through New York City, retracing the life and legacy of Dorothy Day. A journalist, peace activist, and co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, Day is now being considered for sainthood by the Catholic Church. Through interviews with people familiar with her radical commitment to social justice, the episode not only explores her impact, but also what sainthood means in the modern world and why saints still matter today. | From Think: "The Rebellious Past of the Public Library"

Host Eric Marcus scoured the archives to tell this story in great depth, through the perspective of eight different individuals that were persecuted for their sexuality.
