Road Rally Season Opener - April 1
The season never seems to start soon enough! We’re looking at the end of April for our first Autocross and Rallycross events. Were you hoping to get out sooner? Well, we have the event for you! Our season opener is going to be a blast! It’s a Road Rally, so there is no pressure – it’s all about the fun – spending the day with family and friends, great sights and a meal at the end of the day!
And while the event is Saturday, April 1st, this is no joke! It’s a Road Rally and a Scavenger Hunt – where you’ll get to pick from a list of places in the area and take photos with your team. The goal is to pick the best route to maximize the number of places you and your team can make it to so you can get the most points. We’ll have food and a trophy ceremony after the event! Your team can be friends or family, or both! It’s a great way for us to get to see each other – without the pressure of fast times and worker assignments. The event is also only $25! Come and spend an afternoon with us and get the season started early!
2023 Season Schedules! Please note that these are our tentative dates and could be subject to change, as the contracts are not 100% finalized. Events will be created on the website event calendar once they are finalized.

Hagerty Motorsports: Bleeding BrakesMAR 17, 2023 — Ask five people at your next SCCA event how they bleed their brakes and you’ll discover each person has a unique approach. Their theories will perhaps have similarities, but the details of the process often vary. This is the topic of discussion in a story posted by Hagerty Motorsports, the Official Insurance Partner of the SCCA. “So we agree that you want to keep air out of the system,
but on the off chance that a few bubbles sneak in during a project, how do you remove them from the vehicle’s brake lines?” posits author Kyle Smith in an article he wrote for Hagerty Motorsports. “There are multiple ways to bleed a brake system, and understanding each method is important so that you can decide the best approach for your project.”
RallyCross National Championship Set for an October Return to TopekaMAR 1, 2023 — The RallyCross National Championship is unique from other SCCA National Championship events in a multitude of ways, but most notable is that it consistently moves around the country, offering accessibility to the entire SCCA RallyCross community. The inaugural RallyCross National Championship took place in 2007 in Hasting, NE, and since then the event has traveled to eight additional locations, repeating locales only a handful of
times. This year, the event will return to Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, KS, marking only the third time the Club’s pinnacle RallyCross event will take place in Kansas.
2023 SCCA WOT Road Racing Scolarship Taking ApplicationsMAR 9, 2023 — The SCCA Women on Track (WOT) Initiative is continuing one of its most popular programs in 2023, awarding a pair of SCCA Women on Track Road Racing School Scholarships funded by the SCCA Foundation again this spring. Two recipients of this year’s SCCA Women on Track Road Racing School Scholarship will receive $1,000 each from the SCCA Foundation, with the scholarship helping
fund their entry into the sport of road racing. Applicants do not need to be an existing member of the SCCA prior to being awarded the scholarship. Upon receipt of the scholarship, the awardees will join the SCCA and should intend to participate in road racing upon graduation from an SCCA approved road racing school of their choosing. Ideally, recipients should have a race car available to them for their competition school, although loaner race cars specific to this scholarship are available in certain portions of the country.
