This year's theme is nanotechnology in medicine, featuring two distinguished keynote speakers, Dr. Philip Low, Director of the Purdue Center for Drug Discovery and Dr. Rodney Ho, Director of WE-REACH. ETHICAL CHALLENGES IN HEALTH INNOVATION WORKSHOP

Join the National Academy of Medicine for their Fostering Action to Address Ethical and Societal Implications of Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation in Health and Medicine: A Workshop on the potential for unintentional positive and negative consequences arising from advances in science, technology, and innovation within the health and medicine sector. This free webinar will utilize established frameworks, such as Toward Equitable Innovation in Health and Medicine, which built on the work of the Committee on Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation (CESTI) to examine concrete case studies of recent emerging technologies, aiming to extract valuable insights and lessons.

NIA SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAMS

Non-dilutive funding for healthy aging innovations. National Institute on Aging (NIA) provides nearly $150 million in R&D Small Business Funding through the SBIR/STTR program. Interventions to prevent or treat Alzheimer’s and related diseases are top priorities. Click below to determine whether your research project is a good fit for NIA.

FUNDING FOR BRAIN INITIATIVE TECHNOLOGY TRANSLATION

Notice of Special Interest for Translation of BRAIN Initiative Technologies to the Marketplace is now open, inviting Small Business Concerns (SBCs) to translate BRAIN Initiative-supported technologies into the marketplace. SBCs are encouraged to apply for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants to advance, optimize, validate, and scale these technologies for commercial use, aligning with the BRAIN Initiative's mission. Interested parties can access funding for BRAIN Initiative-related projects by submitting SBIR/STTR grant applications linked to Notice number NOT-MH-24-115.
