17th Assembly NewsThe 17th Assembly is the triennial decision-making meeting of the national council of the Uniting Church in Australia. Members worship together, form community, and discern where God's spirit is calling the Church. The Assembly meeting takes place from 11 to 16 July 2024 at Novotel Paramatta on Burramattagal land in Western Sydney. It will feature the Installation of Rev Charissa Suli as President of the Uniting Church in Australia. On the 17th Assembly website you can find news and updates leading up to and during the meeting. You can also view a livestream as the meeting happens.
Intercultural Neighbouring Sunday - 21 July 2024Celebrate the cultural diversity at the heart of our Church and explore ways to build intercultural relationships in your neighbourhood. On Sunday 21 July, the Uniting Church will celebrate Intercultural Neighbouring Sunday for the second year. Congregations are invited to take part in this day, with a 2024 Celebration Guide available soon from the UCA Assembly.
Disability Access & Inclusion Working GroupThe Disability Royal Commission Synod Task Group is working on a Disability Access and Inclusion Action Plan (2024-2027) to help implement the Disability Access and Inclusion Policy in the Uniting Church WA and its schools and agencies. In order to develop a relevant and fit- for-purpose Action Plan the task group would like to invite people who have a lived experience of disability as a member or participant in the Uniting Church and/or have an interest in supporting the development of this Action Plan to
join the new Working Group.

- Uniting Network to celebrate 30 years (UCA) - LGBTIQA+ members and allies in the Uniting Church are invited to gather online on 6 July to celebrate 30 years since the formation of Uniting Network, which took place at Brougham Place Uniting Church in Adelaide in June 1994.
- Juniper extends Home Care to Great Southern, Goldfields regions (Juniper) -Older people in the Great Southern and Goldfields will now be able to choose Juniper to access support in their own home and community as Juniper offers services previously provided by the WA Country Health Service (WACHS).
- Action and Contemplation: The Art of Christian Engagement (Wellspring) - this six day course, offered by WellSpring Centre, will examine the theological foundations and practical implications of contemplative spirituality. In person or Online options available. Thursday 8th – Saturday 10th August 2024 & Thursday 5th – Saturday 7th September 2024 (2x 3-day intensives).
