Boom! Zonk! KAPOW!Wow, what a September! Just last week our team executed fourteen events in six different cities around the United States (not to mention we had some remote-led games with participants in multiple cities as well)! We’ve been enjoying our event-filled weeks and are extremely excited for a fall full of team building fun. As the autumn weather continues to cool down, many of our groups are opting to go outdoors for their team building. If you are looking to take advantage of cooler temperatures or get your group moving out and about, look no further than our super event, Kapow! Haunted WorkplaceIn this event, teams must prove they’re worthy of being called superheroes! During Kapow! Teams communicate with Superhero Central via an iPad or mobile device with a custom app that puts teams’ mental, physical, and creative powers to work. Some challenges can be done at any time in any location, while other challenges require teams to visit hotspots on their game map - it’s only when they get there that their mission is revealed. For instance, teams may have to turn back time (by recording a video in reverse), film a breaking news clip of one of their superheroes saving the day, or take a photo of a team member levitating. Additional challenges have teams matching the song clip to the name of the superhero movie it came from, or using their powers of observation to study an image and then find and scan that item in the event area to open a hidden challenge. At a set time, teams reconvene at Superhero Central to see which one is the most likely to save the day, based on number of points they earned. The superheroes on that team will earn award medals for a job well done! Haunted WorkplaceGet your team in the Halloween spirit by hosting a haunted workplace competition. During the first week of October send out the competition announcement stating, “It’s time to put those office cobwebs to good use as everyone is invited turn their offices, desks, or cubicles into spooktacular spaces!” Come up with a theme, such as classic horror movies, a graveyard smash, or let your team come up with their own designs. Be sure to set a limit on the amount participants can spend to encourage creativity over cost, and a deadline for when all spaces should be completed. On Halloween, have all team members make their way through the maze of haunted workspaces and vote for their favorite, keeping in mind they cannot vote for their own. Then, before the day is done, award a prize (such as a jack-o-lantern full of treats) to the individual who received the most votes. Halloween Thrills and ChillsIt’s scary how excited we are that spooky season is back. From clients booking virtual Halloween games to our mysterious in-person team builders like Unlock the Mystery, this time of year is always thrilling! Be sure to email our team ASAP to book a ghoulishly good time for your group. |
