Forgiveness: Unpacking the Journey from Head to Heart to Action with Starla Anderson We all know we are called to forgive, but how do we take concrete steps to get there? How do we find common ground to see the humanity in one another needed to extend grace in the midst of pain? APU's chief of staff and professor of communication management, Starla (Kuhl ’91) Anderson, JD, will address these questions in her engaging presentation on Forgiveness: Unpacking the Journey from Head
to Heart to Action.

Ezekiel Hong: A Trilingual Journey of FaithEzekiel Hong, MDiv ’22, moved from South Korea to Brazil. After accepting God and getting engaged to an old friend from Brazil, Hong decided to move to L.A. Earning his MDiv at APU, Hong spoke about his journey in his commissioning speech.

Congratulations to the 2022-23 Fulbright Award Winner, Elayna Ah Puck ’15, MA ’17 Elayna Ah Puck, with a BA in Sociology (2015) and MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL, 2017), received Fulbright’s Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE) English Teacher Trainer award to Taiwan. She will advise the ETAs and local English teachers in Taiwan through classroom observations, consultations, and workshops.

Azusa Pacific 1975-95 Football Reunion September 30-October 2, 2022 APU Athletics and the Alumni Engagement team look forward to welcoming Azusa Pacific football alumni from the 1975-95 as we honor the leadership and legacy of former football head coach, Jim Milhon —one of our longest-standing coaches in APU's athletics history. This reunion will give football alumni the opportunity to come together and celebrate the contribution of Coach Milhon as well as recognize the impact and legacy this program has had on their
lives at APU and beyond.

Andrew Carrasco ’87 Andrew is on the Metro Micro (low-cost ride-share service) team out of Los Angeles Metro. He was specially selected for what was a skunkworks project a few years ago and is now expanding.
Evan Camperell, MA ’02Evan is the new head women's soccer coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He brings a wide variety of experience coaching at the JUCO, NAIA, and NCAA DII levels. Read the press release.

Terri Dawn Arnold ’14 Terri is a high school assistant principal and independent filmmaker. She just won a Remi Award at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival for her suspense short movie, ROAD 29.

MA ’21Caroline was recently hired as a sixth-grade teacher with the Etiwanda Elementary School District.
Patrick Tubbs ’19Since graduating in 2019, Patrick moved to Sacramento, California. He accepted a position as a travel nurse recruiter for Aya Healthcare and has since been promoted to an associate team manager, overseeing a team of other recruiters. In addition, he earned his M.S. in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
Daniel Ortiz ’20In 2022, Daniel was nominated to serve as a senior adjunct faculty member in APU's School of Nursing. He was also appointed as interim associate dean of nursing and allied health at Imperial Valley College and began working with the California Simulation Alliance.
Ian Myers ’21Ian just completed his first year of law school at Regent University School of Law in Virginia.
Gabriella Smith ’21After a rigorous selection process, Gabriella will represent the State of Washington at the 2022 Western Governors’ Leadership Institute this July. The institute recognizes and rewards each delegate’s history of leadership and celebrates their potential. As a delegate, Gabriella will get to learn directly from governors and other influential leaders in the West. Learn more.
Tania (Maradiaga ’21) SullivanTania, psychology alumna, is now Mrs. Tania Sullivan! She resides in Orange County and works full time as a counselor answering crisis calls with O.C. Behavioral Health in Aliso Viejo. In her free time, she volunteers locally and spends time with her husband and two cats.
