Janay (Hamrick ’04) Abale

Janay has been a missionary in Uganda for more than a decade. She recently published her first book, Philippians for Missionaries: A Deep-Dive Devotional, designed to support and encourage missionaries wherever they are on the mission field.

 

Erin (Halma ’10), DPT ’13 and Peter ’08 Bond

On November 7, 2024, the Bonds welcomed their fourth child, a daughter named Kinsey Grace after having three boys!

Robert, Matt, and Richelle founded Havilah & Co., creating amazing-smelling, non-toxic candles. They give 50% of their profits to World Vision, funding their entrepreneurship program for at-risk youth in Central America.

 

Parker Nelson ’16

Parker Nelson recently published a nutrition book called Nutrition Nonsense and would love for other APU classmates to have the chance to read it!

MEd ’16

Danyel, a high school American Sign Language teacher, received California’s sole 2024-25 Milken Educator Award. This prestigious award comes with a $25,000 prize and recognizes Danyel’s incredible dedication and innovative teaching methods. Read full article.
