Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a necessary time to shed light on the importance of mental well-being. According to a study conducted in 2023, 1 out of 5 adults experienced mental illness, highlighting the prevalence of this issue. If you or someone you know is struggling, don't hesitate to reach out to your care team about our Behavioral Health services.
LCHC Transition to Epic | July 30
On July 30th, 2024, LCHC is transitioning its Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems over to Epic. This transition will better serve our patients, staff, and community by offering the latest technology. Please note that we will have reduced appointment availability during July and August while our staff complete trainings. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this change and anticipate returning to our usual appointment availability in September.

Lauren Wilkes, PA
Lauren Wilkes, PA, discovered Lawndale Christian Health Center through family friends, her upbringing in the Chicagoland area, and prior experience as a Medical Assistant at Genesis Orthopedics. Her journey into medicine was fueled by a love for the sciences and a desire for meaningful interactions with patients. Having graduated from Rosalind Franklin PA school, she brings a dedication to providing high-quality care and fostering trusting relationships with her patients. She states, "I strive to provide the same level of care to each patient as I would to my own family." Lauren's commitment to compassionate listening and genuine support reflects Lawndale's mission of serving all patients with the love of Christ. She finds fulfillment in the supportive community at Lawndale, where she continues to grow and make a positive impact as a new provider.
She says, "My goal is to empower my patients with knowledge about their health so that we can work together to achieve the best possible outcomes"

Senior Day Services
Come join Lawndale Christian Health Center's Senior Day Services! Our program caters to seniors aged 60 and above, offering a chance to socialize, engage in games and activities, enjoy nutritious meals, and access health and wellness services. With our welcoming staff and lively atmosphere, you'll feel right at home. Plus, we offer assistance with insurance, transportation, and many more resources to support your well-being.

Mother's Day Brunch at GTC
The Green Tomato Café will be open on Saturday, May 11th, for a special Mother's Day brunch! Come enjoy our breakfast menu between 9am and 12:30pm. Kids are welcome; we will have a craft corner available for any children who want to participate. We hope to see you and your loved ones there!
Updated hours: Our kitchen is now open from 8am to 3pm Monday - Friday, with online orders for pickup available from 11am to 2pm.
