She aims to establish and maintain an environment of trust as she develops bonds with her patients. What motivates Rachel to provide the best quality care for her patients is her desire to mirror Jesus and his healing ministry. She says she is 'living her dream' in her new role because LCHC enables her to provide patient-centered quality care in an environment of faith. "I care about the physical embodiment of my patients, but also their emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs. I strive to empower my patients through deeply compassionate care." Become a Community Health Worker! | $500 StipendAre you passionate about helping people in your community? Do you take an active role in your healthcare and want to help others do the same? We’re looking for interested patients and community members to take part in a free 5-day training course to become a certified Community Health Worker! Participants will also receive a $500 stipend for attending all 5 days. The deadline to apply is November 27th. Christmas Gifts for Partner Homeless SheltersLCHC provides year-round healthcare for nearly 1,400 people experiencing homelessness on Chicago's West Side. We have a team of medical staff that travels to local shelters to offer care each week. For Christmas, we are packing up gift bags for all of these patients with new travel-sized toiletries and winter accessories including hats, gloves, and socks. See below for ways you can help!
