Season of Creation 2025 UCA Resources

Throughout the month of September, Christians across the world will celebrate the Season of Creation.

Season of Creation begins on 1 September, the Day of Prayer for Creation, and ends on 4 October, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology. The 2025 theme is Peace with Creation - Isaiah 32:14-18. Learn more on the Season of Creation website here.

The UCA Assembly has updated two versions of a worship resource for the Season of Creation, originally released in 2023. One version is if you are worshipping indoors and one to help you take your worship outdoors.

The Uniting Church in Australia Assembly has made a selection of resources available to help Uniting Church communities take practical action on advocacy for peace and justice in Palestine and engage with the World Council of Churches statement - now adopted by the Uniting Church Assembly.

Trek 4 Timor South West

Raise funds while enjoying a Sunday afternoon walk in the Crooked Brook Forest in the Ferguson Valley during wildflower season!

The International Partnerships and Development Commission are supporting this fun and family friendly event on 5 October 2025, raising money for the Mobile Health Clinic run by our Synod partners, Fundaҫou Lafaek Diak, The Good Crocodile Foundation, in East Timor.

Time - 1.00pm
Location - Crooked Brook Forest, Ferguson Valley, WA.
Cost - $20 (+bf) - Donations welcome!

UCWA Name Badges

Uniting Church WA name badges are available for congregations and individuals to order from the Uniting Church Centre.

If you are attending the 2025 WA Synod meeting and would like to order a name badge, please place your order by Monday 1 September 2025.

Regular congregation orders can be made at any time. Please download and complete the order form for group orders.

Resources for Frontier Services Sunday
Is your congregation celebrating Frontier Services Sunday on 31 August? This is an opportunity to honour and celebrate the incredible work of Frontier Services – the UCA's dedicated agency serving outback Australia. A variety of church resources are available from Frontier Services to share with your congregation and small groups, including prayers read by Bush Chaplain Noel Williams and a song by Pastor Lindsay Ginn.

UnitingWorld Gaza Crisis Appeal
You can help support the people of Gaza impacted by violence, through UnitingWorld's Gaza Crisis Appeal. Your gift will support ACT Alliance and their local church partners to provide urgent emergency relief and to work to restore basic services for people affected by the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

Good Sammy Open Day
Good Sammy Enterprises are hosting an Open Day for Uniting Church WA community at their Canning Vale facility on Thursday 28 August from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Join Good Sammy for a presentation from CEO Kane Blackman, a tour of their recycling facilities and a delicious morning tea. RSVP here.

Safe Church Awareness Workshop
The next Safe Church Awareness Workshop is taking place on Saturday 6 September from 9.00am to 2.00pm at Crossways Uniting Church, 10 Calabrese Ave, Wanneroo. All ministers, pastors, church leaders, volunteers, members of congregations and those involved in community services are welcome and urged to attend. RSVP by 2 September.
