Longevity risk talk
Earlier this month Mark Sharkey and Douglas Anderson from Club Vita hosted a great talk, explaining to SIAS members how the developments in the data science and machine learning fields are transforming longevity risk studies and creating new opportunities for actuaries.

As always, SIAS awards a prize to the members with the best contributions or question, and for the second time Bethan Goddard has bagged the Champagne. Congratulations!

Yoga
SIAS recently hosted our first ever online Yoga classes with professional yoga teachers over zoom. Both sessions were very successful with the beginner session in particular being very popular. We hope SIAS was able to help stretch out the aches people have acquired from working at home all year!

Board games
We also recently hosted another virtual board games night, with teams pitted against each other in Codenames. We expect to run more of these events over the coming months so if you have any specific board game requests let us know!
