LCHC Transition to Epic | July 30th
On July 30th, 2024, LCHC will be transitioning its Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to Epic. This upgrade aims to enhance service for our patients, staff, and community by integrating the latest technology. Please be aware that we will have reduced appointment availability in July and August as our staff undergoes training. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition and expect to resume our normal appointment availability in September.

Sajel Nuwamanya, MD
Sajel Nuwamanya, a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, is a Family Medicine physician committed to delivering comprehensive healthcare to patients in North Lawndale. She finds joy in supporting the Lawndale community, serving as an advisor for Family Medicine Residents, and providing care for patients in urgent care.
After undergrad, Dr. Nuwamanya worked at a rural hospital in Uganda for some time. This experience inspired her to want to empower patients to take control of their health. She tells her patients, "You are the leader of your health journey; I’m here to guide and support you, but the power to make changes lies within you." Currently, Dr. Nuwamanya serves at LCHC's Immediate Care Clinic, where she values the integration of urgent care and is passionate about teaching and mentoring future healthcare providers.
She says, “I believe in empowering patients to take control of their health, helping them see their own worth and the importance of self-care.”
