Investor interest in global securities continued to accelerate in the first quarter of 2026, with trading in international securities on OTC Markets reaching $210.1B, reflecting a 36.8% increase quarter over quarter. Activity was driven primarily by European and Asian securities, underscoring the growing role OTC Markets plays in enabling cross‑border investment and global liquidity.
The market does not stop at 4PM. Our data licensing now reflects that. MOON ATS® and OTC Overnight® data are now included in broker‑dealer enterprise and per‑user licenses at no additional cost, delivering deeper book coverage and continuous overnight data across NMS and OTC equities, all under one license. Together, they form the market’s only complete overnight dataset, supporting global investors who demand uninterrupted access across time zones.
We’re excited to announce the launch of the OTC Trade History File, designed to deliver deeper transparency into the U.S. OTC equity market. The OTC Trade History File provides tick‑by‑tick trade details across the entire OTC market, including activity from OTC Link ATS, OTC NQB, and OTC Link ECN. When combined with quote data from the OTC Quote File, market participants gain a comprehensive view of liquidity, trading behavior, and market dynamics at both the security and market level.
In early April, OTC Markets implemented rule updates for OTCQX and OTCQB designed to raise market quality and strengthen investor confidence. For OTCQX, the rule changes raise key quantitative standards to enhance transparency, more clearly distinguishing OTCQX as a premium public market. For OTCQB, the most significant change is an increase to the minimum bid price for companies seeking initial qualification on OTCQB.
