Season of Creation 2024 ResourcesSeason of Creation takes place from 1 September (World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) to 4 October (Feast of St. Francis of Assisi) under the 2024 international theme, ‘Hope and act with creation'. The symbol, 'The first fruits of hope', is inspired by Romans 8:19-25. The Uniting Church in Australia, Assembly are collating helpful resources for congregations to use during the Season
of Creation.

- 30 Years of Daring to Hope (UCA) - Uniting Network's Daring gathering held in July this year marked 30 years since the very first gathering in 1994. Warren Talbot reflects on 30 years of Daring gatherings. Uniting Network is the national network for the Uniting Church LGBTIQA+ community.
- It’s Time to Care About Aged Care
(UnitingCare) - Australia’s aged care provider peak bodies have come together to support calls for the Federal Government and Opposition to urgently prioritise the new Aged Care Act in Parliament this week and address critical issues facing older Australians and the services that support them.
- Faiths for Climate Justice - A national week of action promoting increased community, business and government action to transition out of fossil fuels will be held 14 to 24 September. In conjunction with people from many different faith communities and other spiritual traditions, the Australian Religious
Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) is calling on national leaders to address a number of concerns - go to the ARRCC Week of Action page to find out more. Local churches are encouraged to promote these values and priorities through local actions, including displaying public banners calling for urgent action towards renewable energy.
