August Revive Out Now
A fresh new Revive is out and on its way to our congregations and community.
In this edition you can meet the 17th President of the UCA, Rev Charissa Suli, and find out more about the 17th Assembly triennium theme ‘Threads of Love’ which inspired our cover image. Season of Creation 2024 Resources
Season of Creation takes place from 1 September (World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) to 4 October (Feast of St. Francis of Assisi) under the 2024 international theme, ‘Hope and act with creation'. The symbol, 'The first fruits of hope', is inspired by Romans 8:19-25.
The Uniting Church in Australia, Assembly are collating helpful resources for congregations to use during the Season of Creation.
Fellowship Newslink
The August 2024 Uniting Church Adult Fellowship WA Newslink is now available and copies have been sent through the UCWA Monthly Congregation Mailout.
Inside Newslink is also an invitation to the UCAF WA Fellowship Day on Friday 18 October.

- Demanding a Safer World for All on World Humanitarian Day (UnitingWorld) -On World Humanitarian Day 2024 (19 August), 60 prominent Australians, including UnitingWorld National Director Dr Sureka Goringe, have signed an open letter from the Safer World for All campaign warning the safeguards designed to protect humanitarian workers are breaking down.
- 30 Years of Daring to Hope (UCA) - Uniting Network's Daring gathering held in July this year marked 30 years since the very first gathering in 1994. Warren Talbot reflects on 30 years of Daring gatherings. Uniting Network is the national network for the Uniting Church LGBTIQA+ community.
- It’s Time to Care About Aged Care (UnitingCare) - Australia’s aged care provider peak bodies have come together to support calls for the Federal Government and Opposition to urgently prioritise the new Aged Care Act in Parliament this week and address critical issues facing older Australians and the services that support them.
- Faiths for Climate Justice - A national week of action promoting increased community, business and government action to transition out of fossil fuels will be held 14 to 24 September. In conjunction with people from many different faith communities and other spiritual traditions, the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) is calling on national leaders to address a number of concerns - go to the ARRCC Week of Action page to find out more. Local churches are encouraged to promote these values and priorities through local actions, including displaying public banners calling for urgent action towards renewable energy. - Hayden Wiseman Concert Willetton Uniting Church - Based in Australia and a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Hayden Wiseman is a passionate violinist, focusing on classical and gospel music performance. Willetton Uniting Church are hosting his solo concert on 15 September at 3.00pm. Find ticketing information on the Willetton UC event page here.
Save the Date - Trek for Timor South West - Sunday 6 October, Ferguson Valley. The International Partnerships and Development Commission are supporting this fun and family friendly event raising money for the Mobile Health Clinic run by our Synod partners, Fundaҫou Lafaek Diak, The Good Crocodile Foundation, in East Timor.

Receptionist | Office All-Rounder
An opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist/Office All Rounder to join us at the Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of WA. This position will be based at the Uniting Church Centre at Edward Street, Perth.
This will be a part-time position (0.8FTE) from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday.
