Insightful Service Celebrates Juniper's 75th Birthday
A heartfelt church service in Noranda to recognise Juniper’s 75th birthday has celebrated the aged care provider’s strong ties to the Uniting Church.
Juniper CEO Russell Bricknell said the recent church service held at the Noranda Uniting Church was important to acknowledge the vital role of the Uniting Church in making Juniper such a compassionate organisation.
Thanks to Michael Gill from Juniper for contributing this story, and to all who were involved in the service which took place on 27 November 2024 at Noranda Uniting Church.

ALEXANDRA SANGSTER
Alex Sangster is a writer, actor, mother, and minister with the St Kilda Southport Uniting Church. In Alex’s recent book, ‘Do they make coffins that small? Ministry in an age of uncertainty’ she shares her passion to discover ways that liberate, inspire and awaken.
Alex is known for her creative worship in church circles. She will use her creativity to help us integrate our learning from the weekend. Read more here.

Uniting Church Centre Christmas Closure
Please note that the Uniting Church Centre at 85-89 Edward St, Perth will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from 1.00pm Tuesday 24 December 2024 and reopening at 9.00am, Thursday 2 January 2025.

- 2024 Christmas Message from the World Council of Churches (WCC) - 'As we eagerly await Christmas and the birth of the Prince of Peace, we are even more keenly aware of the violence and destruction that are tearing our world apart, sundering families and nations, posing an affront to all the values of God’s reign on earth.'
- Partners in Christ with the Chinese National Conference (UCA) - Representatives of the Chinese National Conference (CNC) came together in late November for the first time since March 2019. Acting Secretary of the CNC Rev Dr Ji Zhang offers this report of the gathering
- Christmas trees with a difference add festive fun (Juniper) - Donated pallets re-purposed by Care and Share members have a new home as colourful wooden Christmas trees at Juniper Waratah Lodge Residential Aged Care Home in Wagin.
- Social Justice Update - the December 2024 Social Justice Update from the Uniting Church WA Social Justice Commission is out now.
- Trinity North Uniting Church - the Duncraig property in Wandoo Rd will soon be up for sale. There are number of items which are surplus to Trinity North's requirements.
