Church and community groups have gathered with refugees for the 2023 Palm Sunday Walk for Peace and Justice for Refugees. They say that Australia’s refugee policies still have a long way to go before people seeking safety in Australia are treated fairly.

You are invited - Pentecost Sunday

Susy Thomas, Moderator of the Uniting Church WA invites you to worship as a church together in celebration of Pentecost Sunday, 28 May 2023. The theme for our worship will be ‘Finding hope in the power of the Holy Spirit’. The service will be held at The Billabong Uniting Church, starting at 5.00pm. All are welcome to join us for light refreshments and fellowship after the service.

  • What does it take to lift a village out of poverty?  is a story that comes to us from UnitingWorld, the Uniting Church in Australia relief and development agency.
  • Building harmony during Ramadan - the Uniting Church Assembly hosted its 10th annual Iftar Dinner with Affinity Intercultural Foundation on 28 March.
  • Uniting for the Voice - Leaders of Australia’s major faith-based charitable service networks urge political leaders to support the Voice to Parliament.
  • Iftar Dinner at Trinity Uniting Church in the City - The Intercultural Harmony Society and Trinity Uniting Church in the City invite you to an Iftar dinner recognising Ramadan and encouraging interfaith dialogue, at 6.00pm on Wednesday 12 April. You are also welcome to arrive early to join Trinity’s Taize prayer service at 5.15pm. Please RSVP for catering purposes - details in link.
  • Easter Services Directory - A range of Holy Week and Easter services and events can be found on the Uniting Church WA website by searching our dedicated directory.
  • What is the Presbytery of WA?  An information booklet and video were launched at the recent Presbytery meeting explaining the role of the Presbytery of WA. These resources can now be downloaded from the website for use by congregations and individuals.
  • Wurlitzer Orbit 3 electric organ in good working condition is being offered for free to a Uniting Church congregation or individual, available for pick up in Ardross.  Email Dilwyn - dilwynfairclough@hotmail.com

Presbytery Minister (Pastoral) - Presbytery of WA - Expressions of interest are invited from Ministers of the Word/Deacons to fill a vacant placement within the Presbytery of Western Australia. The Presbytery Minister (Pastoral) will ensure the health and vitality of ministers as well as congregations, ministering alongside members of the Pastoral Relations Committee within the Presbytery in their tasks of pastoral oversight.

Minister, Wagin Group of Congregations is a full-time vacant placement comprising three small rural congregations in the Wheatbelt area of Western Australia.  Worship services are conducted in the towns of Wagin (weekly), Darkan (twice monthly) and Dumbleyung (monthly), as well as a short worship service at the local aged care facility (twice monthly).  This single ministry placement is supported by a willing team of lay leaders and lay preachers.
