Mike Benton ’04 Lives Out His Calling as a Broadcaster for the Seattle Kraken

In the summer of 2021, Mike got a text that changed his life. After nearly two decades of broadcasting for minor league baseball and hockey teams, a colleague texted Mike to see if he was interested in becoming the in-game host for the Seattle Kraken, a National Hockey League (NHL) franchise which would celebrate their inaugural season that fall. Mike, who had dreamed of becoming a broadcaster for an NHL team since he was a kid, replied, “Absolutely!”

Kevin Eastway ’01

After graduating with a Doctor of Ministry with his work focused on the Christian practice of fundraising, Kevin wrote a book called Faithful Friendship - Fundraising from the Heart. He now coaches people all over the world in fundraising and organizational development.

 

Scott Yount ’06

This June, Scott celebrated 10 years as a full-time missionary in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine. During this time, he has worked with orphans and children with special needs through camps, proms, worship services, and more.

 
 

James ’18 and Angela (Pham ’19) Whitfield

Please pray for James and Angela as they serve in Cairo, Egypt, working to share the healing and love of Jesus with people seeking refuge from violence, persecution, and economic collapse in their home countries.

 

Bailey Wilson ’18

Congratulations to Bailey, CEO and founder of Bondi Bowls, on the grand opening of her Huntington Beach store! Many APU alumni, staff, and faculty came out to support Bailey on this exciting day. Korina Lopez ’23

Throughout her nursing school journey, Korina has had the privilege of learning from exceptional instructors who have continually inspired her to excel. She is happy to announce that she has been accepted to a prestigious Level 1 children's trauma hospital.

Cisneros ’24

With her degree in biology from APU, Kessia started a new job as a microbiologist at Amphstar Biopharmaceutical Company, working in their subsidiary, the International Medication System.
