New Ministry Journeys - part 1Between September 2023 and February 2024 four new ministers were ordained in the Uniting Church WA - two Ministers of the Word and two Deacons. These four ministers have now also been inducted into their new placements, with three in congregational ministry, and one in hospital chaplaincy. Revive invited each of them to share an insight into their journey to ordination, challenges and achievements along the way, and what life in their various placements involves. In part one of this two-part series, Rev Reuben Edmonds and Rev Dr Elaine Ledgerwood share their ministry journey with us. Meet the Members of the 17th Assembly - the 17th Assembly of the Uniting Church in Australia which will be held from 11 to 16 July in Parramatta, Sydney. The meeting will gather together more than 200 people from every part of the Uniting Church to create a community of fellowship, worship and discernment. Drawn from every Synod across the country, these 17th Assembly
members will share of their hopes and expectations as they prepare to gather with others to discern God's will for the Uniting Church. Uniting Church Anniversary Message - UCA President Rev Sharon Hollis has shared a video message to mark the 47th Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia on 22 June 2024. This video message is available to download and play in your worship service or community. There will also be liturgical resources to accompany the video soon. 19th Annual Meeting of the Presbytery of WA - will be held on Saturday 15 June from 9.00am to 4.00pm. UCA 47th Anniversary Worship - you are invited to a worship celebration to mark the 47th anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia on Sunday 16 June starting at 12.00pm at Uniting Church in the City, Trinity Perth. Social Justice Meet-Up - All Uniting Church members who feel that their faith calls them to stand up and speak
out on issues of social justice are invited to a meet-up to discuss ways forward while the WA Synod is without a Social Justice officer. The meeting will be for one hour, at 5.00pm on Monday 17 June at the Uniting Church Centre, 85-87 Edward St, Perth. This will be an informal gathering and discussion. There will be a particular focus on ways to respond to the pressing need to stand alongside Palestinian Christians during the crisis in Gaza.
