New Updates to Proposal Routing Form and Research Tracker
General Routing Form Updates Several updates to the routing form have been released: - The routing form can now
be edited while in workflow.
- The person making edits to the form in workflow is required to provide a summary of the change(s). This summary gets emailed to everyone who has provided assurances on the form.
- Please note: Adding or removing investigators still requires restarting workflow approvals (by clicking the "Withdraw From Workflow & Edit Form” button).
- The blank second page of the AAAN notice has been removed.
- When workflow is complete, the form submitter receives a confirmation email.
Reminder on Routing Form Workflow Paths - It is the responsibility of departments and orgs to update workflow paths associated with the routing form when approvers leave. For more information about making custom workflow paths for the routing form, please visit the section on Workflow here.
- DSP recommends routing form department and org destinations contain at least two individuals with "Signature Permitted." This enables quick approval of time-sensitive routing forms. In addition, if one person is out, the other can approve -- unlike a destination with only one "Signature Required" approver. In all cases, if workflow approvers know they will be out of the office, follow best practice and set an "out-of-office" workflow delegate.
In Project View: A proposal routing form can be created for an increment of funding associated with the project. This function copies over common project attributes such as PI, sponsor, title, etc.
The roles of Editor/Initiator and Submitter can be searched in the Tracker's Advanced Search tab. This is useful if you only wanted to see routing forms that you had submitted, for example.
