We have some exciting things in the works here at the Podcast Garage Boston for the end of summer and the fall. Today I'm happy to share the first of them with you…

Community co-working at the Podcast Garage is back! Some of you may remember when the Podcast Garage first opened we offered a few different co-working options. We haven't had anything like that in quite a while, but we've heard from folks that there's still a need, so we're bringing it back.

To get started, we'll be offering free, open co-working during the day on Wednesdays, starting next week, September 4th. There's no need to be a member, register or reserve a spot. Just come by with yourself and whatever project you're working on, and spend some time here at the Garage getting things done.

While you're here, you can use any of the equipment in our inventory: recorders, mics, cameras, USB interfaces, and more. If you need to pop into the recording studio for a few minutes to do some pickups or record a quick ad, you can do that too! (If the studio is available.) If you need to ensure a spot in the studio, or need it for more than 5 or 10 minutes, please book a session like you normally would; as a co-worker you'll get a 50% discount.

As always, there's plenty of parking out front, and a good selection of teas and snacks inside.

Since the Podcast Garage is rooted in community, please come prepared to engage with and help your fellow co-workers. The Garage staff will be ready to answer questions or listen to a rough cut to provide feedback, but having more eyes and ears on a problem can be super valuable.

Co-working is, for the time being, sort of an experiment here at the Garage. It may morph and change over time to meet the needs of the community.
