From The Editor's Desk
I haven't done one of these in a while, and I might not do one for a while again. This was a fun photo from our previous autocross event, where a group of us happened to wind up in grid together, making this photo possible. (Notice our Club Secretary Natalie, learning that's much comfier to sit in the rear of a hatch!) Motorsports have been the seed for so many amazing friendships, and as we gear up for our final events of the year, I'm very excited for what the next season will bring, and very proud of what we've accomplished as a region.
Trunk or Treat 2025: October 18, PHEAA Lot
Given the success of last year's outing, we encourage our members to once again bring their cars out for Trunk or Treat 2025! The event will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the PHEAA Parking Lot located at 1200 N 7th St, Harrisburg PA. Costumes for both you and your vehicle are encouraged, so come connect with the community!
1988 Camaro - National Car Search
I am looking for a 1988 Camaro I purchased new but had to sell when my company I feel it is likely being used as a racecar considering its current age. I will pay $2000 to the first person that locates this car and provides me with a picture of the VIN number, a few pictures of the current condition of the car, and the contact information of the current owner. The VIN number is 1G1FP21F4JL149816. Regardless of the condition of the car, I will come take a look at it. The car was delivered with a white exterior and gray interior, though it may have been repainted for racing. It came with a 305 engine with fuel injection,
a 5-speed I received a tip that my car actually may now be a race car and may have a paint scheme like the one in the below picture. This information may help someone who remembers a car with paint like or similar to the image above. Please contact me at the cell phone number below.
Reminder: Event Photos Available! Many of us remember that one run where everything just flowed, or maybe that one cone we just couldn't keep from tagging. They say a picture's worth a thousand words, so why not get a photo from our events to show off to friends and family? With easy downloads and paper prints right at your fingertips, Ben Burkhart Photography has you covered. Regale your loved ones with the excitement of racing (and maybe convince them to come join the fun) with photos from Autocross, Rallycross, Hill Climb, Car Shows, and sometimes even someone being goofy in paddock. Hit the button below and check out Ben's work, as he continues to be not only a great photographer at our events, but also a continuing region sponsor.
A Vitour-ious AnnouncementDid you know that Vitour Tires are now legal? Yep, there was a lot of confusion about them last year but rest assured, they're legal for autocross in your Miata, Corvette, or even Triumph Spitfire. You can order them at vitourp1.com

They have a link to their website below with the discount, which is $500 off a new/used car and 20% off parts and service.
Car Classing Help AvailableNew to SCCA functions/events, and not sure where your car fits in? Just finished putting enough aero on your Avalon to cross the Atlantic, and not sure if it's legal for H Street? Well good news -- with some help from our fantastic volunteers, we now can assist with car classing questions. Do not be afraid to ask on the facebook groups for classing information as well, but there's now another way to get assistance if you'd prefer. News from SCCA In the News: Central Pennsylvania Region AutocrossOCT 17, 2025 — From leadership adventures to #funwithcars to members who’ve been around the block a time or two, a recent article covering SCCA®’s Central Pennsylvania Region’s autocross program has it all. Reporting on the local news, entertainment, and more for State College, PA, StateCollege.com brings its readers news from the Centre County region of Pennsylvania. Which, as luck would have it, is exactly where SCCA’s Central Pennsylvania Region hosts its autocrosses. “Autocross, or Solo in SCCA vernacular, involves drivers competing in time-trial events on cone-lined courses,” the article written by Elton Hayes, says. “For the Central PA Region, those events are held at the Centre County Public Safety Training Center in Pleasant Gap and Philipsburg’s Mid-State Regional Airport on six weekends throughout the year.” Rally Into Fall with These National & Divisional RoadRallies[Editor's Note: One of these is in Philadelphia Region, and one is South Jersey Region!]OCT 14 2025 — As the leaves change and fall descends in a spectacular burst of colors, nothing could be better than hitting the road for an SCCA® RoadRally, taking you places you’ve probably never been before. Some events coming up fast, too. There are three RoadRallies to highlight, with the first taking place Oct. 19, 2025. Milwaukee Region’s Kettle Moraine Colors Divisional Tour rally sounds quite breathtaking. The name alone should get your clicking finger itching to register. Wisconsin’s famed Kettle Moraine in fall colors? Yes please! At $55 per car, this rally is a deal – then if one of the people in the car is an SCCA member, you can knock $15 off that price! Voting for SCCA Board of Directors Election About to BeginOCT 14, 2025 — If you call SCCA® Area 2, 6, 10, or 12 home, guess what? There’s a National Board of Directors (BoD) election that affects YOU this year, with voting within those Areas kicking off on Oct. 15, 2025, and concluding on Nov. 17, 2025. The long and short of it is that SCCA’s BoD members are integral to the long-term success of the Club – it’s a vital role. How do you know what the candidates stand for, what their experience is, and why they believe they’re the right person for the job? We’ve got those answers below. Before we get to a list of candidates and their platforms, let’s talk election logistics. Per the SCCA Bylaws, members of the Board of Directors are elected to three-year terms, with Directors allowed to serve a maximum of two terms (whether concurrent or not). Director elections are then staggered to manage turnover, so this year, four of SCCA’s 13 Areas are up for election. Lampe Makes It Two For Two with Spec MX-5 GoldOCT 6, 2025 — Leading up to the Oct. 5, 2025, Spec MX-5 (SMX) race at the 62nd SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Sunoco at Road America, Camden Ebben claimed the Tire Rack Pole Award in the No. 55 Mazda MX-5, just 0.045sec ahead of second-place qualifier Francisco Barroso in the No. 48 AIG Arrow Group MX-5. The second row included Ethan Lampe in the No. 95 MX-5 and the No. 11 MX-5 of Matthew Novak. In all, the top 11 qualifiers all drove times within a second of the polesitter, giving a preview of the dense-pack racing that this class provides. None of them could have ever guessed how this race would end. ——— Sponsors ———2024 Event ScheduleAutocross Dates:
