This annual 8km run which is organised each year by the Simon Community aims to raise money and awareness for homeless people in our country. The event welcomes runners of all ages and abilities - whether you cross the finish line first or last matters not but only that you come brimming with enthusiastic support for this vital and timely cause. As we ran, jogged, or walked through the idyllic surroundings of the Phoenix Park it was hard not to smile at the beauty of the natural world and we were struck by a powerful sense of community among so many others who care deeply about the issue of homelessness. At the end
of the run there was music, food, and games to round off the event with an atmosphere of fun. Well done to everyone from The High School who took part - a special mention must be given to Daniel Tallon who completed the course in a fantastic time of 32 minutes! Thank you all so much for your support and we hope to see you all and more again next year! European Languages Week![]() ![]() Last week we celebrated European Languages Week at The High School.
