Welcome to my October newsletter! From now on, you can expect a new edition on the first Tuesday of every month.

Where has the year gone? I can’t believe we’re already in spring! September was another busy month, highlighted by a wonderful fashion parade featuring a range of Melbourne designers—including Perri Cutten, whose pieces my jewels complemented beautifully. The event was organised by Wendy Scully Millinery, whose hats looked incredible, and perfectly hosted by the RACV City Club. Thank you to everyone who attended!

A Literary Milestone

This month is another very exciting one, especially for my good friend and fellow speaker Susannah Fullerton OAM, as her latest book “Great Authors & The Cats Who Owned Them” is being launched. Head here to learn more about this wonderful read.

To celebrate this literary milestone, I have created some cat jewels. Including two amusing brooches, the “Double Cats” brooch and the “Trio of Cats” brooch. All are made in sterling silver here in Melbourne and all can be made in gold or platinum (please enquire for an up-to-date price) if you prefer.

Upcoming Talks

Finally on the subject of cats, Susannah and I are giving a talk each at the RACV-City Club on Tuesday 21st of October at 11am. Entitled “A Feline Affair” this event is not to be missed. A light lunch will be provided between Susannah’s talk and mine; “Cats, Cats & more Cats, The World of Feline Jewels”. Doors open at 10:30am.

And on the subject of talks I am also giving my “Be-jewelled Treasures of the Discerningly Wealthy” Talk which if you haven’t seen it before is well worth a listen to. After all who doesn’t want a pair of Diamond set high heels even Imelda Marcos would be jealous of! Doors open at 10am.

My early morning chat with Trevor Chappell on ABC Radio 774 last month was on the subject of bracelets. We discussed the differences between, bracelets, cuffs and bangles and more, while the range of questions again showed that even very early mornings is a great time to talk about jewels! Cup Week Approaches!

Finally, with Cup week and the racing season on our doorstep here in “Marvellous Melbourne”, how about a wonderful “Horse” inspired pendant on polished black Onyx beads. Made in 14ct white and yellow gold and set with diamonds and a Ruby eye it is on consignment from a dear client who no longer has a need for it. As I said last month was a busy one and this month seems to be heading that way too, so I look forward to seeing you at some point.
