Advent & Christmas Services Event Calendar
Is your Uniting Church WA community planning special services leading up to Christmas Day?
Congregations and Faith Communities have the opportunity to add their Advent and Christmas services and events to the Uniting Church WA Christmas Events calendar - unitingchurchwa.org.au/christmas
As we get closer to the Christmas season this website will be widely advertised for people wanting to find local services, so we encourage congregations to contribute!
You can either submit your event details for approval via the link below, or email Wendy at website@wa.uca.org.au with all of the details. Please include as much information as you know!
Celebrating 75 Years of Juniper
For 75 years, Juniper has been providing care and accommodation for older Western Australians.
To celebrate and give thanks for Juniper’s 75th anniversary all are welcome to a service to commemorate this milestone on Wednesday 27 November, 2.00pm at Noranda Uniting Church. The service will be led by our Moderator Rev Dr Ian Tozer.
Refreshments and afternoon tea will be served in the hall after the service.

- Open doors and open hearts (UCA) - Open doors and open hearts on the holy island of Iona. Uniting Church minister Rev David MacGregor writes about the blessing of a lifetime spending nine weeks as a volunteer with the ecumenical Christian community on Iona, Scotland
- Prayer Vigil for Peace in the Holy Land (UCA) - The Uniting Church Assembly's Working for Justice Circle will host an online prayer vigil on Thursday 28 November from 7:30-8:30pm AEDT. Register for the Zoom here
- Meeting of the Presbytery of WA - The next meeting of the Presbytery of WA is on Saturday 9 November from 9.00am to 4.00pm at Billabong Uniting Church, 40 Liffey St, Canning Vale. For details about the meeting go to our Presbytery meeting page here.
- Liturgy and Lectionary Resources for Congregations - Every month our Rural Resource Minister sends out liturgy and lectionary resources to churches and faith communities who require resourcing assistance (usually where there is not an Ordained Minister in Placement). If you would like to receive these resources, please contact Rev Craig Bosman on craig.bosman@uca.wa.org.au to discuss your group’s situation and needs.
- Friday Night Fellowship Pride Service will be on Friday 8 November, 6.00pm at Uniting Church in the City, Wesley Perth, where the reflection will be on how Jesus changes everything. Formed as a successor to Social.Justice.Church, Friday Night Fellowship stands on a legacy of radical inclusivity, loving fellowship and a genuine concern for promoting justice. This service is a safe and welcoming environment for all, where uniqueness is celebrated and diversity affirmed. Light refreshments will be provided after the service. All welcome!
Inclusive Disability Awareness Worship Service - You are invited to an accessible and inclusive Disability Awareness Worship Service at Maylands-Mount Lawley Uniting Church, 165 Railway Pde, Maylands, on 10 November at 10.00am. Help us to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD) and acknowledge the varied and valuable contributions made by persons with disabilities in the life of our church.
