THE RESEARCH CONNECTOR DECEMBER 2024
GATHERINGSITHS Hosts Alumni Event and Leadership RetreatITHS had a busy time in early December, hosting two important events: the first ever ITHS Alumni Event as well as a Grant Writing Retreat for our program leadership. The ITHS Alumni Event was held in the lovely Petersen Room in UW's Suzzallo Library on December 4. Former participants in our KL2 career development program and our TL1 training program enjoyed lunch and networking before listening to a keynote address from Dr. Hilaire Thompson on her leadership journey. Dr. Thompson is the executive dean of the UW School of Nursing, the director of the TL1 program, and a former KL2 scholar. After the keynote, attendees listened to Works in Progress presentations from Megan Moore, PhD, and Germán Gornalusse, PhD, MS, both of whom are alumni of the KL2 program. The event was enjoyed by all and we hope to bring our education program alumni together again soon!

On December 10, ITHS leadership came together for a retreat to kick the grant writing process into high gear. The team spent a half day discussing program priorities and laying the foundations for a strong future as we develop our next CTSA grant application. At the end of the day, our leadership team was joined by ITHS staff and faculty for our End of the Year Event, a chance for reflection on the accomplishments of the past year and our aspirations for the year ahead. The whole ITHS team hopes our members, partners and friends all have a wonderful holiday season and productive new year. We'll see you again in 2025!
