Autocross Season is Coming to a Close

We’re hosting 2 events in October, bookending the month.  The next two events will be on Saturday, October 1.  Registration is open for that now, click below to register.

The final event of the season will be our typical Match Tour style with an event in the morning, and rounds of elimination racing in the Match Tour.  It’s a ton of fun, and a great way to end the season.  We’ll be opening registration soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that event.

Choose Your Own Citrus Road Rally

Inspired by the nationally-known (but in no way affiliated) Lemons Rally, the Choose Your Own Citrus Road Rally is designed to provide an enjoyable drive through the countryside while conducting a Scavenger Hunt. This “Rally” is a social event and is not based on accurate time and distance – in fact, each team picks their own route to maximize points the way that suits each team the best. Scoring is based on the ability of the team to use clues to find target locations, while leaving enough time to find their own way to back to the start point in the allotted time frame. Each team will be provided with a packet with rules and instructions on how to post pictures on instagram to mark way-points and collect points. Someone on your team needs an instagram account for your team to get points! This is a great opportunity to get younger family members involved in a driving activity. This event will take place rain or shine. Only extreme weather conditions warrant cancellation.

A Road Rally is not a race! OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS. The roads are challenging, sharp curves, steep climbs and wildlife crossings all combined with an unknown route. The driver and navigator must work together to stay alert while looking for clues. Speed does not improve the score. Bring water for the team, and fuel up when you can there isn’t any sweep car…it’s up to the team to make it back!

Installing or Adjusting Shocks? These Tips Will Help

AUG 31, 2022 — KONI shock absorbers are hardly a rarity at SCCA events. Their performance and price make them a winning combination for enthusiasts looking to maximize their #funwithcars at autocrosses, track events, Time Trials, road races, and even RallyCrosses and RoadRallys. While KONI dampers check the box for many, there are details you need to know before heading to an event – to that end, KONI recently produced videos to help with those specifics.

In one video, Mason O’Hara, KONI’s Technical Sales Representative, tackles a topic that may seem basic, but is actually vital for performance and safety: What happens if you install a spring seat upside down on a circlip-outfitted KONI shock?
