Seminar on ‘Doing development and epistemic justice’ with Dr. David Azupogo - 9/1/2025

While there are different forms of knowledge – such as local, indigenous, and academic ways of knowing – not all knowledge is treated equally when it comes to providing evidence for decision-making processes.

However, the growing demand for the decolonization of (agricultural) development and the need for a more equitable society calls for more pluralistic approaches as well as epistemic justice. This seminar will explore what a genuinely participatory approach looks like from the perspectives of researchers, governments, and NGOs.
