VOTE “NO” on Colorado Amendment 79, and Propositions 127, 131, and KK

On November 5, Colorado voters will vote on multiple radical ballot measures, including Amendment 79, Proposition 127, Proposition 131, and Proposition KK. It is imperative that Colorado voters reject these dangerous initiatives that inherently contradicts America’s founding principles and threatens election integrity.

Here are the most radical and dangerous ballot measures on Colorado ballots:

  • Amendment 79: This ballot measure would create a “right” to abortion and allow taxpayer funds to go toward abortions.
  • Proposition 127: This ballot measure would prohibit “intentionally killing, wounding, pursuing, or entrapping a mountain lion, bobcat, or lynx; or discharging or releasing any deadly weapon at a mountain lion, bobcat, or lynx.” It is a major step toward eliminating the right to keep and bear arms, as well as property rights.
  • Proposition 131: This ballot measure would implement a top-four “jungle primary” system (where candidates of every party would appear on the same ballot) and ranked-choice voting (RCV) for federal and state elections. RCV undermines election integrity and disproportionately benefits leftist positions.
  • Proposition KK: This ballot measure would establish a 6.5-percent excise tax on the manufacture and sale of firearms and ammunition. This would infringe on the right to keep and bear arms and discourage firearm manufacturing and sales in Colorado.

Statewide referendums inherently contradict our republican form of government. In addition to being a major step toward democracy — and away from a republican form of government — they make it easy to adopt radical and poorly thought measures that significantly grow the size and scope of government. Furthermore, they usually empower left-wing interests rather than ordinary citizens — an analysis of recent referendums reveals that leftist groups and donors have used them to enact radical policies, including legalized abortion, ranked-choice voting, and Medicaid expansion.

Colorado voters would be wise to vote “No” on Amendment 79, Proposition 127, Proposition 131, and Proposition KK and prevent the further decimation of a republican form of government in the Centennial State.
