Fall '25 Application for Writing about Science, Medicine, and the Environment (MBB 4590/ENGL 4459/EVST 4469) | Students will learn to write about complex subjects for a broad public audience. This course is intended not only for students interested in pursuing a career in writing, but also for students planning to become scientists, doctors, and policymakers—for anyone who wants to learn how to tell stories about the natural world and about pressing social issues. About the instructor: Carl Zimmer is professor adjunct in MB&B, a columnist for the New York Times, and the author of 15 books about science. For more information, see carlzimmer.com. Summer 2025 Field Ecology Internship | A YSE PhD student is seeking a field research assistant interested in environmental science, ecology, and/or earth sciences to join a field-based research project in biogeochemistry in the Western US from May - July of 2025. Center for Climate and Energy Solutions Summer Internships | The C2ES mission is to secure a safe and stable climate by accelerating the transition to a thriving, just, and resilient low-carbon economy.
