The Terms & Conditions are your essential guide to the Awards categories – setting out exactly what’s required for each category, how entries are assessed, and where your achievements fit best. If you’re thinking about entering, reading these is a must. It’s the single most important step you can take right now to choose the right category and put yourself in the strongest position when entries open in early May. 

The REINZ Awards have been refreshed for 2026, and that includes updates to the Terms & Conditions so they’re clearer and easier to follow. We strongly encourage you to take a look soon – it will make the whole process much more straightforward later.

Sector Spotlight: Residential Sales

Over the coming weeks, we’ll continue highlighting different sectors of real estate – and this time we’re putting the spotlight on Residential Sales. 

For 2026, there are some important updates that reflect how many professionals work today and create more opportunities to be recognised. New categories have been introduced, including:  

• Sales Partnership of the Year, which is for either two licensed salespeople working together throughout the Awards Year; or one licensed salesperson working with a Licensed PA. 
• Sales Team of the Year, where a team is three or more licensed salespeople who work together and share prospecting, listing, sales activities, and/or Commission. 
• A new Supreme Sales Performance award recognises the top performer across all disciplines, celebrating the highest-performing real estate sales professional, Partnership or Team across all real estate sales disciplines.  

At the same time, much of the Residential Sales structure remains familiar, with core categories continuing and the overall submission process largely unchanged.
