Final Term of 2021 is Here!

We hope that you are ready for the last term of 2021!

Salisbury School's end of term 3 assembly celebrated all the girls' successes, with Student Volunteer Army (SVA) member badges and Certificates of Achievement for South Pacific Education Course modules (SPEC).

Our girls are empowered and reach goals beyond their own and their family's expectations. Tailor-made guidance for students with complex learning support needs is exactly what Salisbury School has provided for over 100 years to girls from all over New Zealand.

Some of our girls are looking forward to graduating from Salisbury, others dream of Christmas and summer holidays, but they all share the gift of friendships found and treasured (read about their experiences on our Facebook page).

The school's Deputy Principal Jen and Principal Ellie (pictured above from left to right) are keen to welcome you for a visit to explore the school's specialist facilities and parklike grounds.

A Change for the Better

Do you know that the RSS application process has improved too? Because:

• A specialist residential school can now be considered earlier as a specialist learning support intervention for students (eligibility criteria apply)
• There are now two opportunities every term to submit an application - no lengthy waits

More information on the application process is available from the Ministry of Education's dedicated webpage.

Who can refer a child to a Residential Specialist School?

Applications can be made by any of the following who are currently working with a young person for whom a residential schooling application is being considered (in conjunction with the family / whanau and others supporting the child):

• Learning Support Services, Ministry of Education
• Resource Teacher Learning & Behaviour
• Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS) Day Specialist Schools and Fund-Holder Schools that the young person attends

Please note the cut-off dates for applications for 2022 enrolments are:

Term 4, week 2, Friday the 29th of October 2021 by 5pm

Term 4, week 6, Friday the 26th of November 2021 by 5pm
