Disaster Ready Fund Round Three 2025-26 Amount: $200 million

Purpose: To support Australian communities that manage the physical, economic and social impacts of future floods, cyclones, bushfires, storm surges and other natural hazards. Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Providers Worker Retention Grant Payment Amount: $3.6 billion to support the 15 per cent wage increase over two years

Purpose: Providers can apply to receive grant funding to support a 15 per cent pay increase for eligible ECEC workers over two years from the Australian Government. For more information: Click here

Financial Wellbeing & Capability Activity Grant -Financial Wellbeing Hubs Amount: $95.1 million

Purpose: Financial Wellbeing Hubs will provide integrated, co-located financial wellbeing services, with a strong focus on early intervention and financial capability. Integrated services will include financial counselling and financial capability, Emergency Relief and access to Microfinance products, and will focus on supporting individuals to increase their financial and digital literacy and longer-term financial resilience. Purpose: The Long Tan Bursary helps eligible children and grandchildren of Vietnam veterans pay for their tertiary education. Purpose: Ex-service organisations, community groups, councils and schools can apply for funding for projects that preserve Australia's wartime heritage and highlight the service and sacrifice of our Defence personnel. Projects may include: - Development of a digital honour roll
- Restoration of an honour board
- Purchase of a cabinet to display military memorabilia
- Installation of a flagpole to display Australian National Flags on days of commemoration

School Student Broadband Initiative Amount: Access 12 months free broadband

Purpose: To provide up to 30,000 families with no internet at home free NBN for 12 months. To be eligible, a family must: - Have a child living at home that is enrolled in an Australian school.
- Have no active broadband service over the NBN network.

Strengthening Social Cohesion Grants Amount: $12.25 million

Purpose: To support Australian Palestinian, Muslim and other communities affected by the Hamas-Israel conflict. The first round of funding will provide $12.25 million for affected Palestinian, Muslim and other communities, including: - $7 million for national programs addressing social cohesion impacts felt across communities in Australia;
- $1.25 million to expand and enhance existing social cohesion projects; and
- $4 million for community-led grass roots programs.

Strong and Resilient Communities Round 4 – Inclusive Communities Amount: $360,000

Purpose: To support the social and economic participation of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in their communities by providing funding that supports: - People with disability
- People who are unemployed
- Women who experience, or are at risk of experiencing, isolation, or discrimination
- Young people aged 12 to 18 years who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, from education to reconnect with their community, school, training and/or employment.

Community Building Partnership 2025 Amount: $10,000 - $100,000
Closing Date: 21 February 2025
Purpose: To award grants for community infrastructure projects. There is a total of $450,000 per state electorate available to organisations across the Charlestown, Swansea and Lake Macquarie electorates. Projects funding may include: - Construction of new community infrastructure as well as refurbishment, repair and maintenance of existing community infrastructure.
- The purchase of freestanding equipment. Freestanding equipment is: equipment that does not require installation. This also includes vehicles
and vessels that do not require registration e.g. tractors, utility task vehicles (UTV) or side-by-side ATVs, dragon boats, golf buggies, dinghies, powerboats or sailing boats less than 5.5 m long or with an engine less than 4.0 kw.
- The purchase of vehicle(s). Vehicles are: cars, buses, trucks, trailers, motorised rescue vehicles including boats and any modifications to existing vehicles.

Purpose: The Deadly Deposit Grant program is a financial grant that can match people's savings towards their deposit, up to $10,000. Deposit savings may be made up of money in the bank, cash, and other sources including inheritance.

Home Buyer Booster Grant Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: Ongoing
Purpose: To help with some of the expenses associated with buying a property, like legal and administrative costs. This grant can be used for expenses such as: - Legal fees including the administrative costs of buying a property, and preparing a will
- Property valuations
- Home and contents insurance
- Surveying costs
- Pest and building inspections
- Stamp duty (for non-housing tenants). Aboriginal people living in social housing are exempt from Stamp Duty as per Section 278 of the Duties Act 1997 (NSW).
- Any unspent funds can be used towards other costs associated with buying a home (e.g. moving costs)

Purpose: Any registered Australian community group, sporting club or not-for-profit organisation can apply. We’ll award a grant of $1,000 each month over the next 12 months, beginning in March 2024. We’ll also award a major grant of $10,000 at the end of the program. Purpose: This is a recognition and shines the spotlight on individuals who make a positive impact to their local community or environment. Community members nominate their heroes. The successful hero for each of the 42 Westfield Centres is awarded a $20,000 grant for the organisation or group they represent, and each finalist receives a $5,000 grant for their organisation or group.
