2022 Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit Goes Virtual

In partnership with the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN) we recently announced that after much consideration and conversations with many of our stakeholders, the 2022 Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit will be virtual.  Although it was a disappointing decision to have to make, for the health and safety of everyone, it was the right decision.

What It Means for the 2022 Summit:
 - It will be more accessible to everyone.
 - There isn't a chance for the Summit to become a COVID-19 cluster.
 - No carbon footprint created from everyone traveling to the Summit.
  - No COVID-19 limitations (face masks, social distancing, room limitations, etc) since the Summit will be virtual.

What It Means for You:
 - You stay safe and healthy, and so do your family, friends, and community.
 - You can be on your campus while also attending the Summit.
 - You will have the opportunity to directly network with your peers and colleagues who may not have been able to attend the 2022 Summit in-person.

As we undergo the transition process from a hybrid model (in-person, virtual) to a virtual model, our planning process is ongoing.  However, if you have not already done so, we encourage you to sign-up on our "Be in the Know" email list, and once more information is available you will be on the list to receive it!

Webinar: The Importance of Academia’s Role in Advancing Conservation and Biodiversity to Address Climate Change and Human Health
Tuesday, November 16, 2021 | 1pm EDT

In a January 2021 executive order addressing the climate crisis, President Joe Biden committed the U.S. to an ambitious conservation goal: to protect 30 percent of U.S. land and coastal seas by 2030. That target, known as "30 by 30," is grounded in science.  In this webinar, we will introduce the 30x30 initiative and its connection and importance to climate, environmental justice and human health and make the case for why and how academia should expand their current sustainability goals to include biodiversity goals.

Note: if you registered for the webinar with the above description, but with the title: Managing Organizational Change for Transformational, Deep Decarbonization Initiatives on Campus, please note that it is the SAME webinar as this one; the title has changed. You do not need to re-register. Questions? Please contact: Chantal Madray.
