1988 Camaro - National Car Search
I am looking for a 1988 Camaro I purchased new but had to sell when my company I feel it is likely being used as a racecar considering its current age. I will pay $2000 to the first person that locates this car and provides me with a picture of the VIN number, a few pictures of the current condition of the car, and the contact information of the current owner. The VIN number is 1G1FP21F4JL149816. Regardless of the condition of the car, I will come take a look at it. The car was delivered with a white exterior and gray interior, though it may have been repainted for racing. It came with a 305 engine with fuel injection,
a 5-speed I received a tip that my car actually may now be a race car and may have a paint scheme like the one in the below picture. This information may help someone who remembers a car with paint like or similar to the image above. Please contact me at the cell phone number below.
Reminder: Event Photos Available! Many of us remember that one run where everything just flowed, or maybe that one cone we just couldn't keep from tagging. They say a picture's worth a thousand words, so why not get a photo from our events to show off to friends and family? With easy downloads and paper prints right at your fingertips, Ben Burkhart Photography has you covered. Regale your loved ones with the excitement of racing (and maybe convince them to come join the fun) with photos from Autocross, Rallycross, Hill Climb, Car Shows, and sometimes even someone being goofy in paddock. Hit the button below and check out Ben's work, as he continues to be not only a great photographer at our events, but also a continuing region sponsor.
A Vitour-ious AnnouncementDid you know that Vitour Tires are now legal? Yep, there was a lot of confusion about them last year but rest assured, they're legal for autocross in your Miata, Corvette, or even Triumph Spitfire. You can order them at vitourp1.com

News from SCCA Hagerty: Defeating Motorsports Burnout the Easy WaySEP 15, 2025 — As great as motorsports is, it’s possible for life to get in the way. Could be life gets hectic and something’s got to give. Could be your “fun” budget went the way of the dodo. It could be one of a million things that stopped you from participating. The point is, eventually everyone skips an event, and that sometimes leads to two; the next thing you know, it’s been a year. But because motorsports is in your blood, you’ll get the itch again. That’s exactly what happened to author Tommy Parry – a tale he recently recounted on Hagerty.com/media. “A few years ago, I took a step back from racing,” he wrote. “I’d gotten a little burned out on the cost, the intensity, and the fact that fun seemed more and more difficult to find. I have been accused of taking things too seriously before… However, after a few months away from the track, I realized I couldn’t leave it alone entirely, and I started to think about what was eluding me.” Thank Us Later: How to Spotlight Mazda Motorsports’ Parts SpotlightsSEP 16, 2025 — Throughout the year, Mazda Motorsports highlights some of the parts available through its (freshly revamped)Taking this one step further, subscribe to the Mazda Motorsports newsletter using this link and you’ll get the latest news from Mazda Motorsports – including Parts Spotlights – sent to your inbox. If you’re a Mazda racer (and let’s face it, if you play the odds, chances are good there’s a Mazda race car in your paddock spot), keeping up with these Mazda Motorsports Parts Spotlights can be invaluable. You may not be looking for a competition gearset for your NA, NB, NC, or ND Miata right now, but knowing one is available can be a lifesaver the next time you chip a tooth. Similarly, knowing a PWR-designed Spec Miata radiator is available could eventually be the difference between staying in the draft all race long vs. dropping out of the pack to keep things cool. Big Wins Take Center Stage at ’25 SCCA Time Trials NationalsSEP 21, 2025 — It was three days of wild action at the Sept. 19-21, 2025, Tire Rack SCCA® Time Trials Nationals at Pittsburg International Race Complex’s (Pitt Race) 2.78-mile, 18-turn motorsport circuit, and (as expected), the cream of the crop rose to the top. With roughly 170 drivers on hand, the competition was fierce from the drop of the first green flag on Friday. From there, things only ratcheted up, with driver after driver putting all they had into their year-ending effort to claim the top step in each of the 20 classes. Yes, those winners were celebrated on Sunday during the KONI Podium Celebration, but it wasn’t just the top finishers who went home with recognition. A huge part of SCCA Time Attack competition is celebrating EVERY win, where often it’s the spirit of the competitor that’s more representative of their weekend rather than their actual finishing position. For that, there are the Time Trials Nationals Superlative Awards. Dare to be Different: Choppin’ a Tesla for SCCA EV Road RacingSEP 18, 2025 — SCCA® Road Racing has a storied, grassroots tradition of choppin’ production cars to construct competition vehicles. A chop-top Tesla, however, is pretty rare. Nonetheless, that’s exactly what Bruce Richardson of SCCA’s San Francisco Region did while exploring electric vehicle racing with the Sports Car Club of America. It was a decade ago when Richardson, a retired mechanical engineer, began playing with the concept of electric motors in race cars. He worked on projects that included a Spec Racer® Ford chassis, as well as a Sports Racer. Unfortunately, those proved to be not commercially feasible at the time. In 2023, Richardson gave it another go as development of commercial EV platforms had advanced greatly. What he ended up with was a super-cool, altered Tesla that hustled around Laguna Seca in the Electric Modified 1 class at SCCA Regional meets. ——— Sponsors ———2024 Event ScheduleAutocross Dates:
