Here are some of our October highlights:Women and Girls SafetyFriday 10th October 2022, Six Town Housing and a number of agencies worked in partnership with the aim of promoting Women & Girls Safety and raising awareness of how women and girls can access support and advice, keep safe and be involved in shaping the Women & Girls Safety Pledge in Bury. There was a great turn-out across the two locations; Millgate Shopping Centre and Trinity Baptist Church, Radcliffe and around 80 surveys were completed with goody bags handed out with essentials for women and girls to use. Transformation FundVictoria Youth Centre received the first Transformation grant award. £3,000 was awarded for youth club equipment! Do you have an idea for a project that could help transform your neighbourhood? You can now apply for up to £3,000 to put towards a project that will help benefit your local community! Free Courses in your communityA local lady who recently attended one of our free courses said, “I am now achieving things I never thought I would ever achieve. You accepted my needs and disability and helped me along the way” All our free courses are in a nice community settings which makes them accessible and pleasant to visit. Social Housing Decarbonisation Works UpdateWe have secured Government funding to upgrade 100 properties on Chesham Estate with energy and carbon saving work. From the results of this survey, we now have a new Environment Policy. This document covers how will keep your estates and communal areas clean and safe.
