Chief executive of Six Town Housing to retire

Sharon McCambridge, chief executive of Six Town Housing, has announced that she will retire in 2023 at a date to be confirmed.

Tenancy Agreement 2022

You may recall, earlier this year we wrote to tenants regarding proposed changes to the tenancy agreement. We have now finalised our review and the tenancy agreement, will be adopted on 1st December 2022 and you should receive a letter regarding this in the next few days if you haven't already.

Update on the Regulator for Social Housing

Following an extensive consultation exercise, the Regulator for Social Housing recently released details on the new Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSM) that will come into play next year.

Barclays Digital Wings is a free online learning platform with a suite of modules ready for you to start your learning. Whether you’re just discovering the basics, looking to learn more about new trends, or even get into coding, the ever-evolving suite of learning will keep you up to speed. 

Women and Girls Safety 

Friday 10^th October 2022, Six Town Housing and a number of agencies worked in partnership with the aim of promoting Women & Girls Safety and raising awareness of how women and girls can access support and advice, keep safe and be involved in shaping the Women & Girls Safety Pledge in Bury. 

There was a great turn-out across the two locations; Millgate Shopping Centre and Trinity Baptist Church, Radcliffe and around 80 surveys were completed with goody bags handed out with essentials for women and girls to use.

Transformation Fund

Victoria Youth Centre received the first Transformation grant award. £3,000 was awarded for youth club equipment!

Free Courses in your community

A local lady who recently attended one of our free courses said, “I am now achieving things I never thought I would ever achieve. You accepted my needs and disability and helped me along the way”

Social Housing Decarbonisation Works Update

We have secured Government funding to upgrade 100 properties on Chesham Estate with energy and carbon saving work. We have put in another bid for grant funding which would allow us to pay for energy efficiency works to be carried out to around another 250 homes.

Earlier this year we sent out a survey about your home, our services and the environment! From the results of this survey, we now have a new Environment Policy. This document covers how will keep your estates and communal areas clean and safe.

We would like to hear your feedback about the policy so we have created this short survey.
