VirtualVisiting Scholar Simon Ascher, MD, will discuss his project, which aims to integrate patient preferences into the process of setting personalized blood pressure targets, promoting shared decision-making and tailored treatment strategies that align with individual values and health goals.
In this installment of the ITHS Profile Series, we sat down with Dr. Jillian Pintye, a former ITHS TL1 Trainee and now the Faculty Co-Director of the TL1 program, to learn more about her journey in translational research. Co-authored by Drs. Allison Cole and Sebastian Tong, the Director and Co-Director of the ITHS WPRN, this new publication explores how to center rural health research and why funding initiatives such as the NIH CARE for HealthTM Initiative and the ongoing support from Clinical Translational Science Awards (CTSA) are crucial to this effort. Congratulations to Dr. Ayokunle Olanrewaju on being awarded the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA)!
