Uniting WA Pancake Day
Pancake Day, 13 February 2024, is fast approaching and UnitingWA have a delicious proposition! Imagine fluffy pancakes, happy faces, and the joy of making a difference in the lives of vulnerable Western Australians. Uniting WA invites you to help them fundraise and turn Pancake Day into a fun and impactful way to support the most vulnerable people within our community.
You're invited to host your own Pancake Day event anytime from 13 February until the end of April!
Safe Church Awareness Workshops
There are two Safe Church Awareness Workshops taking place in February:
Saturday 3 February from 9.00am to 2.00pm at Calvary Methodist Church, Malaga.
Saturday 24 February from 9.00am to 2.00pm at Hope Methodist Church in Parkwood.

Listening Journeys
What will the congregations of the WA Presbytery of the Uniting Church look like in 25 years’ time? That was the question that was posed when Thrive Mission Committee presented a report to the 18th Annual Meeting of the Presbytery of WA in June. But more than a question, the report also put forward some proposals that could influence the shape of that journey over the next 25 years.

Godly Play Core Training - Expressions of Interest are now open for Godly Play Core Training taking place on Saturday 1 June to Monday 3 June 2023 (WA Day Long Weekend) at the Applecross Anglican Church Hall.
Godly Play is an evidence-based method of faith formation for children of all ages. It involves storytelling, facilitated conversation, creative responses and active listening. Over three days, you will learn about the genres of story, and the key practices and principles that undergird this method. For this training to proceed, they need a minimum of ten participants. - Farewell Service for Rev Ruth Vertigan - There will be a service to celebrate the ministry, and recognise the retirement of Rev Ruth Vertigan on Sunday 4 February at Star Street Uniting Church, Carlisle. The worship service begins at 9.30am and a morning tea will follow.
- Uniting Generations Network Meeting - Tuesday 20 February, 2.00pm at Maylands/Mt Lawley Uniting Church. For more details contact Julie Ridden at julie.ridden@wa.uca.org.au
- Amplify Conference Hub for Children & Youth Ministry is on Saturday 9 March, 9.00am – 4.00pm at Mt Pleasant Uniting Church. Cost is $45, which includes morning tea and lunch.
