Expressions of Interest - General Secretary UCWA
The Uniting Church Western Australia invites Expressions of Interest for the position of General Secretary.
Under the Synod By-Laws, the Nominating Committee will discern a candidate to recommend to the WA Synod meeting in September 2026.
This leadership role offers an opportunity to contribute to the governance, strategy, and ongoing life of the Church. The General Secretary serves as CEO of the Uniting Church WA, working collaboratively across the Church. Candidates from ordained and lay backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Expressions of Interest close Friday 26 June 2026.

Mentoring Workshop
Mentoring someone in ministry? This one’s for you. The Uniting Centre for Education and Formation (UCEF) is offering a free Mentoring Workshop on Wednesday 1 July from 9.30am to 12.30pm at St Peter and Emmaus Church, Joondanna.
Whether you’re walking alongside someone discerning a call, supporting a candidate through formation, or helping a newly ordained minister or lay preacher find their feet — mentoring is a significant responsibility. And most of us learned on the job.
Come and spend a
morning with other mentors. We’ll work through real scenarios, share what we’ve learned, and pick up some practical tools for the road ahead.
All mentors welcome — new and experienced. Register by 29 June.
Monthly Resources for Congregations
Did you know our Rural Resource Minister, Rev Craig Bosman, sends out a monthly email with a wide range of worship resources to help with Sunday service preparation and delivery?
The email from Craig contains everything worship leaders would need to put together a Sunday worship service and is sent out 3 to 4 weeks in advance.
These resources don’t only go out to regional, rural, and remote churches, they are also sent out to Perth metropolitan congregations who are in need of support.

Juniper has started a refurbishment project to reopen St Andrews Residential Aged Care Home in Balcatta, adding 76 much-needed beds for older Western Australians. Read Article
Intercultural Workshop
The Rural Network invites you to an Intercultural Workshop on Friday, 19 June at St Stephen’s Applecross Uniting Church. The workshop led by Rev Judy Sanderson will run from 2.00pm to 5.30pm.

The National Church Life Survey (NCLS) helps church councils to hear the voice of their congregations through a 20 minute survey in September/October. Thrive Mission Committee is funding the majority of costs, and has made sign up process as simple as possible.
Building a Discipling Culture Workshop
How do we build a congregational culture where helping people discover faith in Christ is normal? Ministers, church councils and lay leaders are invited to join Luke, Presbytery Minister (Mission) for a 2 hour workshop on Wednesday 1 July on Building a Discipling Culture, exploring principles covered in an ongoing coaching process available to all congregations.
