The Uniting Church WA’s International Partnerships & Development Commission (IPDC) invites you to join them for Trek 4 Timor 2026 on Saturday 16 May starting at 1.00pm!

The event is an important fundraising opportunity for our Synod partnership with Lafaek Diak who operate a mobile health clinic in Timor Leste.

World Environment Day 2026

World Environment Day Worship Resource

The United Nations designated 5 June as World Environment Day to highlight that the protection and health of the environment are major issues that affect people’s well-being and economic development worldwide.

The theme for World Environment Day for 2026 is “A Global Call for Climate Action”. The 2026 theme underscores that climate action is not just about reducing carbon emissions—it is about rethinking the systems that power our economies and repairing our relationship with the climate.

This worship resource from Uniting Church in Australia Synod of Victoria & Tasmania, supported by the Synod Western Australia and Queensland, together with UnitingWorld, offers Congregations and Faith Communities ways to engage with World Environment Day on 5 June 2026.

You can find this resource on our Social Impact - Environment page, or download below.

Joining the Conversation: Uniting Connections 2026
Leaders from Uniting Church schools, colleges and education ministries across Australia are being invited to gather in Queensland in June for Uniting Connections 2026: a national conversation about education, faith and the flourishing of young people.
Hosted by The Lakes College, in partnership with the Uniting Church Queensland Synod, Uniting Connections will be held on 18 to 19 June 2026 in Brisbane’s north. More than a conference, the event has been intentionally designed as a space to pause, connect and reflect on leadership and formation within Uniting Church education - grounded in faith, shaped by lived experience and oriented toward the future.
The gathering will bring together educators, church leaders and partners from across the country, offering time not only for learning, but for story sharing, discernment and renewed connection.
Whether you lead in a school, college or education ministry, Uniting Connections 2026 offers a timely opportunity to be part of a national conversation shaping the future of Uniting Church education—together.
